Electrologist
Sophie Howell, L.E. ( She / Her / Hers )
Sophie is a queer, trans electrologist based in Atlanta, Georgia.

After attending the University of Georgia for Biological Sciences, Sophie’s passion for video games and anime culture led her to utilize her creative talents by founding her first business centered around making high-quality fandom collectibles.
Once beginning her transition, Sophie noticed the many hurdles that face the trans community. One area that personally affected her was body hair, something that’s harder to permanently deal with and triggered immense amounts of dysphoria. This ignited her passion to begin her journey to offer gender affirmation care by working with her hands, making things, and supporting community outreach.
Sophie proceeded to complete an extended course from the Monterey Bay Institute of Electrology, learning from teachers with over 30 years of experience in the profession. Being neurodivergent herself, Sophie strives to provide exceptional service and gender affirmation care to serve all bodies who respectfully support queer inclusion.

Upon passing the California Electrology Exam for licensing, Sophie was awarded her California state practicing license. California has very stringent rules and qualifications to practice electrology whereas her home state of Georgia lacks any license requirements and industry regulations. This leaves Sophie as the only licensed Electrologist in the Atlanta Area, something she believes is important to give her clients confidence in her service and provide exceptional electrology care.
Outside of electrology, you can find Sophie biking, weightlifting, practicing yoga, or 3D modeling. She also enjoys watching anime, movies, and backpacking with her Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Tofu alongside her partner of 11 years.
You may spot her riding her favorite red bicycle covered in anime stickers around Atlanta!
